In short: an actual Wii remote uses an IR camera to detect the sensor bar's position relative to the remote Dolphin uses a controller's accelerometer and gyro data to simulate what that IR camera would see. Re accurate pointer controls: Unfortunately I'm restricted here by what Dolphin itself allows. I had that too, and I can't remember how I fixed it! I think it ended up being something to do with Virtual Desktop (I'm using a Quest) - do you use that, by any chance? This one seems to have so many compromises (captures the window title, washes the window out, even outside of VR.)Ībout the washed out visuals. Another edit: I swear there's gotta be a better capture library out there somewhere.Something like BorderlessGaming will let you disable the top of the window, allowing you to play w/o the oddly stereoscopized window title. Is there an option for accurate pointer controls? I saw it in the issues list but I wasn't sure if there was actually an option for this yet.I have no idea where in the pipeline this thing is getting slaughtered, quality-wise. It's always way less contrast than the actual image, even outside of VR. I tried switching to SDR, setting my color depth to 8-bit RGB. There has got to be a better way to grab the framebuffer outta Dolphin. even moar edit: It might very well be Ruccho's use of Direct3D11CaptureFramePool.is it something to do with the Ruccho.GraphicsCapture library? Making it darker just makes everything washed out and darker. edit s'more: It's also not the material for the screen object or any effect from the light in the room.Possibly the emission property is too strong? Is your emission object for the screen in Unity affected by the lighting in the VR room? Visuals look "washed out" (a lot brighter) in the Unity interface than they are on the desktop (ah, it might be because HDR is enabled on my desktop, I just realized this).Maaan, I wish I'd noticed that at launch.
